Gentalia becomes ARKER to drive its growth in shopping centre management in Iberia
Gentalia, a leading company in the comprehensive management of shopping centres and retail parks in Spain, has announced the start of a new stage under the ARKER brand. This is an evolution that reflects the transformation the company has undergone over recent years and its ambition to become the leading commercial asset management platform on the Iberian Peninsula.
The new corporate identity responds to the evolution of an organisation that, after 25 years in business, has strengthened its management, commercial and technological capabilities to adapt to an increasingly demanding and competitive market.
ARKER currently manages a portfolio of 20 shopping centres and retail parks in Spain, totalling more than 730,000 m² of GLA, receiving over 84 million visits per year and housing more than 1,500 retail units. Throughout its history, the company has been involved in managing more than 100 commercial assets, representing approximately 20% of the gross leasable area of shopping centres in Spain.
“ARKER represents much more than a new brand. It is the expression of the company we are today, of our ambition and of the company we want to build in the coming years,” says Gonzalo Gómez, General Manager of ARKER. “The sector is evolving rapidly and our clients increasingly demand proximity, specialisation, execution capacity, flexibility, operational knowledge and intelligent use of technology. ARKER was created to respond to those challenges, to that new context, and to keep growing alongside our clients.”
Over the past year, the company has strengthened its management structure with the addition of José María Alonso as Operations Director and Ewa Wojtatowicz as Leasing Director, as well as launching a new Business Development team aimed at accelerating the growth of the portfolio under management and expanding the company’s presence in new markets and segments.
A platform ready to grow
ARKER’s new stage will rest on two major strategic pillars. On the one hand, growth through winning new mandates, expanding the catalogue of services for current clients and the selective use of alliances and sector consolidation opportunities.
On the other, a firm commitment to investment in technology and advanced data management, aimed at optimising decision-making, maximising operational efficiency and raising the quality of the service provided to owners, investors and operators.
Under the Human View, Smart Management positioning, ARKER combines the experience and closeness of a highly specialised team with a growing technological and analytical capacity, offering Property Management, Leasing, Asset Management, Technical Management and commercial asset repositioning solutions.
With this transformation, ARKER reinforces its ambition to become the strategic partner of reference for owners and investors, supporting them in creating value from their assets and in adapting commercial spaces to new market demands.
The company approaches this new stage with the aim of continuing to expand its presence in Iberia, strengthening its position in the Spanish market and establishing itself as one of the most relevant independent platforms in commercial asset management.
